Connect your TikTok Backstage

Devign Agency Suite fills with your creators and their monthly numbers once your agency's TikTok LIVE Backstage login is connected. It takes about 3 minutes in the app. This page explains what you need, the three steps, and what to do if TikTok says no.

What you need

  • The email and password your agency uses at live-backstage.tiktok.com. This is your Backstage login, not your TikTok app login.
  • The agency owner's Backstage login, so the app can see all of your creators. An agent's login only sees that agent's creators.
  • Your phone nearby, in case TikTok sends a sign-in code.

What the app does with your login

  • It signs in to TikTok LIVE Backstage for you and reads your creators and their numbers: diamonds, LIVE hours and valid days.
  • It only reads. It never posts, messages or changes anything in Backstage.
  • Your login is stored encrypted. No screen shows it back, not to your team and not to us.
  • You can remove it at any time with Disconnect on the Backstage screen in the app.
  • Devign Agency Suite is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by TikTok.

The three steps in the app

Sign up in the app and you are straight in. Until Backstage is connected the app works in a limited way: you can explore an example agency, set your reward rules and manage your account. On Home, tap Start the guide. You can close the guide at any step and come back later.

  1. Choose your region. Pick the region your Backstage account belongs to. MENA, Türkiye and USA are at the top, the rest are A to Z with a search box. If you pick the wrong one, the app moves your agency to the right region after connecting.
  2. Enter your Backstage login. Type your Backstage email and password, and say whether Backstage sends you a code when you sign in: No, Yes or Not sure. If you are not sure, the app waits for a code just in case.
  3. Connecting. This takes 2 to 10 minutes, and you can close the app while it runs. You get a notification when your creators are in. After that their numbers refresh on their own, about every two hours.

Regions you can choose

These are the TikTok Backstage regions the app offers. If your region is not here, choose My region isn't listed and name your country: everything works as usual, and we sort your agency into a region when one fits.

When something goes wrong

If connecting stops, the app shows one screen that names the problem. Each screen is below, with the same title, what it means and what to do. None of them loses anything: your agency, your settings and any creators already read stay as they are.

We couldn't find this Backstage account

What it means

TikTok says no Backstage account uses the email you entered. Backstage shows this as "Account doesn't exist". The password was not checked at all.

What to do

  1. Check which email you use at live-backstage.tiktok.com. Your TikTok app email can be different.
  2. Use the agency owner's Backstage login. Creators do not have one.
  3. No Backstage account yet? Your agency needs to be accepted into TikTok's LIVE agency program first.
  4. Then go back to the guide and change the email.

The password didn't work

What it means

The email is right, but TikTok refused the password.

What to do

  1. Sign in at live-backstage.tiktok.com to check it.
  2. Forgot it? Use Forgot password on the Backstage website, then come back and enter the new one.
  3. To keep your Backstage account safe, the app allows 10 sign-in tries per agency per hour and 20 per person per day. The screen shows how many tries you have left.

Enter the code from TikTok

What it means

Your password worked, and TikTok sent a sign-in code to the email or phone on your Backstage account. Only you can read it.

What to do

  1. Type the code in the app as soon as it arrives. The sign-in waits for it for a few minutes.
  2. Didn't get it? Check your spam folder, or the phone linked to your Backstage account, then ask for a new code.
  3. This happens once. After that your numbers refresh without asking for another code.

TikTok wants to check it's you

What it means

Backstage showed a security check, such as a puzzle or a slider, that only a person can pass.

What to do

  1. Sign in once at live-backstage.tiktok.com on your phone or computer and pass the check.
  2. Come back to the app and tap Try again. This usually clears it.

Too many tries for now

What it means

There have been too many Backstage sign-in attempts in a short time. To keep your Backstage account safe, the app pauses new tries for a while: the limit is 10 tries per agency per hour and 20 per person per day.

What to do

  1. Wait until the time shown on the screen, then try again.
  2. Meanwhile, check your email and password at live-backstage.tiktok.com.

Add an email to Backstage first

What it means

You sign in to Backstage with a phone number. Signing in with a phone number isn't supported yet, so the app needs a Backstage login with an email. Adding one takes about 2 minutes.

What to do

  1. Open live-backstage.tiktok.com and sign in with your phone.
  2. Go to Account settings, then Email, and add your email.
  3. Come back to the app and connect with that email and your Backstage password.

This looks like an agent's login

What it means

The sign-in worked, but this account only sees some of your creators and not the whole agency. That is how an agent's login looks in Backstage.

What to do

  1. Use the agency owner's Backstage login to bring in all your creators.
  2. Or keep this login. You will only see the creators it can see.

TikTok is slow right now

What it means

Your login worked and is saved. Backstage took too long to answer.

What to do

  1. Nothing. The app tries again on its own a few minutes later.
  2. You get a notification when your creators are in.

This login has no creators yet

What it means

The sign-in worked, but the creator list in Backstage for this login is empty.

What to do

  1. If you just joined TikTok's agency program, creators show up after you invite them in Backstage.
  2. If you do have creators, this may be a different login. Try the agency owner's.

Your agency moved to another region

What it means

Your Backstage account is set to a different region than the one you picked. The app still brought in your creators, then moved your agency to the region your Backstage account is in.

What to do

  1. Nothing. The connecting screen and a notification tell you which region your agency is in now.

Open your agency
