Reference guide for agency owners

TikTok LIVE Backstage explained for agencies

TikTok LIVE Backstage is the platform TikTok gives to registered TikTok LIVE agencies to run their creators: onboarding and relationships, LIVE planning, performance metrics, campaigns and promotion tools. Only approved agencies and their authorized team members can sign in, so this guide keeps to what TikTok's own pages say and tells you where those pages go quiet.

Written for agency owners and staff. Every statement about what Backstage is or does comes from TikTok's own pages, each with its link and the date we checked it, and TikTok can change them at any time. We could not read Backstage's help centre, because it sits behind a sign-in, so where TikTok's public pages give no detail this guide says check TikTok's current guidance in LIVE Backstage instead of guessing.

What LIVE Backstage is

LIVE Backstage is TikTok's operations platform for TikTok LIVE agencies. TikTok's Creator Networks page calls it the official operations platform for agencies and an all-in-one operations solution, and TikTok's Backstage article says it gives agencies one central place to support their creators: coordinating LIVE activity, tracking performance and managing creator engagement.

It is not open to everyone. TikTok says Backstage is available exclusively to registered TikTok LIVE agencies and their authorized team members, that access comes after onboarding and TikTok's approval, and that availability, eligibility and feature access may vary by region. Individual creators cannot sign in to it on their own.

One naming point. TikTok's English pages say Creator Network for what this guide calls an agency, and its Arabic and Turkish pages for the same program say agency (وكالة, ajans). TikTok also states that agencies are independent third-party businesses and that it does not endorse or take responsibility for their business activities.

The areas of Backstage and what each is for

TikTok describes Backstage by what an agency can do in it, not by a menu list. This table follows TikTok's wording, one area per row, with the page each row comes from. Two rows carry a menu path that TikTok prints in its English article; the rest are descriptions only. TikTok's Backstage article adds that availability, eligibility and feature access may vary by region, so what your account shows can differ.

This is everything TikTok's public pages say about the areas, and it is deliberately short. For which screen holds which figure, what a button does or how an option behaves, check TikTok's current guidance in LIVE Backstage.

What an owner checks every month

TikTok does not publish a monthly checklist that we could find, so this routine is our suggestion, built on the areas above, and not a TikTok rule. Use it as a prompt for what to open in Backstage, not as a list of what Backstage guarantees.

  • Performance. Look at each creator's and the team's metrics for the month, including Diamonds and active hours, and note who rose or fell.
  • Bonuses and payouts. Review the monthly bonuses and payouts Backstage shows for your agency, and compare them with what you owe your creators under your own rules.
  • Contracts. Review the contracts you manage in Backstage for creators who joined or left this month.
  • Campaigns and events. Open the campaigns and leaderboard events you joined or ran, and check the participation data.
  • Promote coupons. Check the coupons you hold under Operations > Promote and decide which creators and activities they will support, within the permissions TikTok gives you.
  • Access. Review who on your team can sign in, and remove people who have left.

Which screens show which figures, and any threshold, deadline or definition (what counts as a valid day, how a bonus is calculated), are not on TikTok's public pages. Check TikTok's current guidance in LIVE Backstage.

What it does not do, and what TikTok does not say

From the pages we read, these limits are clear.

  • It is not for creators. TikTok says individual creators cannot access Backstage independently; they benefit only through their agency, for example from flares, Promote coupons or help with LIVE planning.
  • It is not a public rulebook. TikTok's public pages state no fees, no revenue-share terms, no bonus amounts, no way bonuses are calculated, no way leaderboard rankings are scored and no review criteria.
  • It is not defined there. The pages do not define Diamonds, valid days or active hours, and do not list which metrics each area shows.
  • It does not replace your agreement. Contract terms are not on the public pages, so read what you signed and what TikTok sent you.
  • It is not TikTok vouching for you. TikTok states that agencies are independent third-party businesses and that it does not endorse or take responsibility for their activities.

TikTok can change any of this. Where one of these points matters to a decision, check TikTok's current guidance in LIVE Backstage or ask your TikTok LIVE Operations Manager.

Where CN Creator App fits

CN Creator App is a management app for TikTok LIVE agencies, made by an official TikTok LIVE agency partner. It is not a TikTok product, TikTok has not endorsed it, and it does not replace Backstage: everything that changes something on TikTok's side, such as applications, campaigns, Promote coupons and support tickets, stays in Backstage.

  • What it reads. The agency connects the Backstage login it already uses, once. CN Creator App signs in on the agency's behalf and reads the roster and each creator's monthly figures: diamonds, valid days, LIVE duration and more.
  • Read-only. It never posts, messages, changes or buys anything on TikTok. It is not done through an official TikTok API.
  • The agency decides. Whether your agreement with TikTok allows a connected service is your agency's decision (Terms of Service, section 8.3). TikTok records the sign-in like any other (section 8.1), and if TikTok objects or restricts access, CN Creator App stops reading.
  • A dash, not a zero. A figure that has not been read shows as a dash, never as a zero.
  • When the login stops working. If nothing has been read from a login for a while, the owner and the person who holds that login get a Reconnect TikTok Backstage notification and the dashboard shows a banner. Until it is fixed the figures go out of date, and each creator's month shows how long ago it was read.
  • Levels and pay. TikTok fixes the gates for the five activeness levels and the owner sets what each level pays. The app works out what each creator is owed under the owner's rules and keeps a read-only payout ledger. Payment happens outside the app and there is nothing to record in it.
  • What it does not do. It never takes, sends, holds or processes money, and it has no violation detection: it does not detect TikTok violations or deduct penalties.

Every statement about TikTok on this page comes from the TikTok pages below, which we opened and read on 2026-11-05. TikTok's English, Arabic and Turkish versions of the first four all opened (status 200) and were read in all three languages. TikTok can change them.

On the product side, the figures the app reads, the read-only limits and the Terms of Service sections quoted above come from CN Creator App's own documentation at https://creatorapp.devignlb.com/llms-full.txt and from the app itself. The Incentive Policy page and the Creator Academy rewards article on TikTok's sites do not describe Backstage, so we did not use them.
