Glossary
TikTok LIVE terms every agency owner should know
These six terms come up whenever a TikTok LIVE agency reads its creators' months and works out what to pay, and each row below gives a definition you can quote, with a link to the page that explains it properly.
On this page
Definitions come from TikTok's own pages where TikTok has published one, and each row says where it comes from. A term TikTok does not define is marked as such, with what CN Creator App reads. No row gives a threshold or a rate, because those belong to TikTok or to the agency.
The terms
| Term | What it means | More |
|---|---|---|
| Diamonds | A type of virtual item TikTok uses to recognize a creator's popularity, ranking and contributions to the platform. Creators can collect them through Gifts sent during their LIVEs and through certain missions and campaigns, depending on feature availability and eligibility. | |
| Valid days | A figure Backstage shows for each creator each month. We found no TikTok page that defines what makes a day valid, so this glossary does not guess. CN Creator App reads the figure from the agency's own Backstage account, shows it beside each creator, and lets a pay rule use it as a condition. Check the rule in your own Backstage account. | |
| LIVE hours | The LIVE time shown for a creator in a month. TikTok says Backstage tracks performance metrics such as Diamonds and active hours, but we found no TikTok page that says how LIVE hours are counted, so this glossary does not guess. CN Creator App reads LIVE duration from Backstage and shows it as LIVE hours next to each creator. | |
| Creator Network | TikTok's English name for a business partner that connects creators with tools, programs and growth opportunities. TikTok's Arabic and Turkish versions of the same pages say agency. | |
| Activeness levels | The five levels CN Creator App places each creator on from their valid days and LIVE hours in a month. TikTok fixes the gate for each level, and the agency owner sets what each level pays. | |
| Backstage | LIVE Backstage is what TikTok calls the official operation platform for Creator Networks, where an agency operates its creators, tracks performance metrics, reviews monthly bonuses and payouts, and manages contracts. CN Creator App reads the agency's own Backstage account. |
How these show up in CN Creator App
CN Creator App reads each creator's diamonds, valid days and LIVE duration from the agency's own Backstage account on a regular schedule, and shows them on the owner's home screen, the roster and each creator's page. A figure that has not been read shows as a dash, never as a zero.
The levels are the ladder the pay rules can follow: TikTok fixes the five gates and the owner sets what each level pays. A pay rule can instead follow diamonds, and it can use valid days and LIVE hours as conditions. The app works out what is owed and keeps a read-only payout ledger. The agency pays outside the app, and the app never moves money.
For the owner's side of the same terms, see what the app is, how an agency runs on it day by day, the features, the agency management app, Backstage data without exports and how to connect Backstage. The video tutorials show the screens.
Questions about these terms
What are diamonds on TikTok LIVE?
Diamonds on TikTok LIVE are a type of virtual item that TikTok uses to recognize a creator's popularity, ranking and contributions to the platform. Creators can collect them from Gifts sent during their LIVEs and through certain missions and campaigns. The diamonds page explains it with TikTok's own wording.
What are valid days on TikTok LIVE?
Valid days is a figure that TikTok Backstage shows for each creator. We found no TikTok page that defines what makes a day valid, so this glossary does not state a rule or a threshold. Check how your agency's days are counted in your own Backstage account or with your TikTok contact. CN Creator App reads the figure and shows it beside each creator.
What are LIVE hours on TikTok LIVE?
LIVE hours is the LIVE time shown for a creator in a month. TikTok says Backstage tracks performance metrics such as Diamonds and active hours, but we found no TikTok page that says how those hours are counted, so this glossary states no rule. CN Creator App reads the creator's LIVE duration from Backstage and shows it as LIVE hours.
What is the difference between a Creator Network and an agency on TikTok LIVE?
TikTok's English pages call a business that works with LIVE creators a Creator Network, and the Arabic and Turkish versions of the same pages call it an agency. This site says agency. The Creator Network page goes into it.
Where can an agency owner see these figures?
TikTok shows them in LIVE Backstage, the official operation platform for Creator Networks. CN Creator App reads them from the agency's own Backstage account and shows them on the owner's home screen, the roster and each creator's page, so there is nothing to export. Backstage data without exports lists what it reads.
Does CN Creator App decide what these terms mean?
No. TikTok sets the rules behind its own figures, and CN Creator App only reads and shows them. It fixes no threshold and no rate. TikTok fixes the gates of the five levels and the agency owner sets what each level pays.
