This page explains the term the way TikTok does and says plainly what TikTok does not say. It gives no value for a diamond and no rate, because TikTok's pages on diamonds give none. The last part shows where CN Creator App puts the figure for an agency owner.
What TikTok says diamonds are
TikTok describes Diamonds as a type of virtual item used to recognize creator popularity, ranking and contributions to the platform. Depending on feature availability and eligibility, a creator may collect them through Gifts sent during LIVE streams and through certain missions and campaigns.
Collecting Diamonds through LIVE Gifts is not open to everyone. To turn on LIVE Gifts and collect Diamonds, TikTok says a creator must:
- Live in a location where LIVE Gifts are available.
- Be at least 18 years old (19 in South Korea).
- Be eligible to go LIVE.
- Maintain an account in good standing and comply with applicable platform policies.
TikTok adds that Government, Politician and Political Party accounts, and certain public interest accounts, are not eligible to collect Diamonds through LIVE Gifts.

How coins, gifts and diamonds connect
Three words appear together on TikTok LIVE, and each belongs to a different side of the screen.
- Coins. What a viewer uses. When a creator has enabled LIVE Gifts, viewers use TikTok Coins to send the virtual Gifts that are available.
- Gifts. What appears on the screen during the LIVE. TikTok says Gifts are connected to its Diamonds system.
- Diamonds. What the creator collects. A creator can collect Diamonds from the Gifts sent during their LIVE, and through certain missions and campaigns.
TikTok says that once creators collect Diamonds they may be eligible to receive rewards in accordance with applicable platform policies and eligibility requirements. It does not state in these pages what a Diamond is worth, so this page does not either.

Why an agency owner tracks diamonds
For a TikTok LIVE agency, which TikTok calls a Creator Network, TikTok describes Diamonds as one useful signal for understanding audience interaction and one reference metric when looking at LIVE engagement trends. It says an agency can use them to see which approaches draw stronger engagement across creators, content formats and LIVEs, to give creators better guidance on their LIVE planning, and to track how a creator develops over time.
TikTok also lists Diamonds among the performance metrics an agency can track in LIVE Backstage, next to active hours. Diamonds are therefore one number among several that an owner reads each month, together with the figures explained in the glossary.
What an agency pays its own creators is the agency's arrangement. An agency may pay on diamonds, on levels or on both, which is the decision the bonus design guide walks through.

How CN Creator App shows diamonds
CN Creator App reads each creator's diamonds from the agency's own TikTok Backstage account on a regular schedule, so there is nothing to export or retype. It is not an official TikTok API and it only reads. Where the figure appears:
- The owner home screen. The large figure is "Diamonds this month". If this month has not been read yet it shows last month's diamonds and says so, and when nothing is known it shows a dash with a line saying when the month will fill in.
- The roster. Each creator's row carries their diamonds for the month, and the roster can be sorted by diamonds. The roster video shows it on screen.
- A creator's page. "Diamonds this month" is the main figure, with valid days and LIVE hours beside it.
- A separate figure for matches. Diamonds from matches are read and kept as their own figure, apart from the month's diamonds.
- Pay rules. A pay rule follows either the levels or the diamonds, and it can be limited to creators whose diamonds are above or below a number the owner sets. The mechanics are on the pay rules page.
- The payout ledger. Each creator's diamonds appear beside what they are owed, or the words "Diamonds not read". The ledger is read-only: the agency pays outside the app and the app never moves money.
- A dash, never a zero. A diamond figure that has not been read shows as a dash. A missing number is not mistaken for a creator who collected nothing.
- The creator's own view. A creator sees their own diamonds, valid days and LIVE hours for the month, and nothing about any other creator.
Backstage data without exports lists every figure the app reads, and Connect Backstage shows how to link the login. A short video walks through how a creator checks their diamonds, LIVE hours and level.

Creators can collect them from Gifts sent during their LIVEs and through certain missions and campaigns, depending on feature availability and eligibility. That is TikTok's own description.
How do creators get diamonds on TikTok LIVE?
A creator who has turned on LIVE Gifts collects Diamonds from the Gifts that viewers send during the creator's LIVEs. TikTok also lets creators collect them through certain missions and campaigns. To turn on LIVE Gifts and collect Diamonds, TikTok requires a creator to live where LIVE Gifts are available, be at least 18 (19 in South Korea), be eligible to go LIVE and keep an account in good standing.
What is the difference between coins, gifts and diamonds on TikTok LIVE?
Viewers use TikTok Coins to send virtual Gifts during a LIVE. The Gifts are connected to TikTok's Diamonds system, and the creator collects Diamonds from the Gifts sent during their LIVE. So Coins are what viewers use, Gifts are what appear on the screen, and Diamonds are what the creator collects.
How much is a diamond worth on TikTok LIVE?
The TikTok pages this guide is based on do not state a cash value or a conversion rate for Diamonds, so this page gives none. TikTok says that once creators collect Diamonds they may be eligible to receive rewards under its platform policies and eligibility requirements. What an agency pays its own creators is the agency's own arrangement.
Why do TikTok LIVE agencies track diamonds?
TikTok describes Diamonds as one useful signal for understanding audience interaction and as a reference metric when a Creator Network looks at LIVE engagement trends. An agency can compare diamonds across creators, content formats and months to see which approaches draw stronger engagement and where a creator is growing. Diamonds are one figure among several, next to valid days and LIVE hours.
Where does CN Creator App show a creator's diamonds?
CN Creator App shows diamonds on the owner's home screen as Diamonds this month, in each creator's row on the roster, on the creator's own page and beside each creator in the payout ledger. It reads them from the agency's own Backstage account and never converts them into money.
Can CN Creator App pay rules use diamonds?
Yes. Pay rules in CN Creator App follow either the levels or the diamonds, and a rule can be limited to creators whose diamonds are above or below a number the owner sets. The app works out what is owed and keeps a read-only payout ledger. The agency pays outside the app, and the app never moves money.
What does a dash instead of diamonds mean in CN Creator App?
It means the figure has not been read from Backstage yet. CN Creator App shows a dash and never a zero, so a creator whose month has not been read is not mistaken for one who collected nothing. In the payout ledger the same case can read Diamonds not read.
